The Resident Evil 4 remake is undoubtedly one of the best remakes ever made, but it is undeniable how it further sets the series apart from its fixed camera origins, which isn't surprising, considering the original is the first entry in the survival-horror series to do away with the camera system used in the first three entries in the series and in Resident Evil Code Veronica.

Despite technology improving and visuals becoming better and better, a modern Resident Evil game with the classic fixed camera angles would be glorious. A new video put together by Cycu1 shows how the starting sequences of the Resident Evil 4 remake would look and play with fixed camera angles, and they look great and not in any way dated. Unfortunately, like in the Castle showcase, combat is a huge issue, so it may be a long while until a proper fixed camera mod may be released. Still, this video makes it clear how the game would definitely deserve an official fixed camera reimagining.

Now that the Resident Evil 4 remake is out, CAPCOM has been focusing on adding more content to the game and fixing some of the issues that affect the game on all platforms. Earlier this month, a free update introduced Mercenaries mode as well as visual improvements on PlayStation 5 and performance improvements on Xbox Series X.

Mercenaries Mode, and some dreaded microtransactions, aren't the only pieces of additional content that may be coming to the Resident Evil 4 remake, as the Separate Ways expansion is said to be coming at some point. According to a reliable source, the expansion starring Ada Wong won't take as much as the Resident Evil Village DLC to come out, as it was planned before the game launched, unlike the one for the latest main entry in the series.

Resident Evil 4 is now available worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about the game by checking out Nathan's review, where he praised the remake but felt that something more could have been done with it.
