Owning a PlayStation 3 console isn't the only way to enjoy titles released for it, as those with several other devices can access the PlayStation Now service, which allows them to stream a variety of titles. According to a recent rumor, the service may become available on PC in the near future.
French website GameKult recently reported that the PlayStation Now service will become available on PC in the near future. The PC service will start first in Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK, with the United States and Canada getting it a week later. To enjoy the service, a PC running at least Windows 7, a 5 MB/s internet connection and a compatible controller are required. A full announcement is expected to come on August 23rd.
The PlayStation Now service has been announced back in 2014 as a cloud gaming service allowing access to a selection of original PlayStation 3 titles, with plans to offer titles for other platforms in the future. As of now, players can either subscribe to the service, getting unlimited access to all games covered by the subscription model, or rent games for 4 hours, 7, 30 or 90 days.
PlayStation Now currently offers plenty of high profile titles such as several Assassin's Creed titles, the BioShock series, Final Fantasy XIII and its sequels, the God of War PS3 titles, the first three Uncharted titles and many others.
