Gaming peripherals manufacturer Philips has unveiled its latest offering in the Evnia series to cater to the needs of enthusiasts on a budget. The new monitor is called Evnia 25M2N5200U, which comes with a 25-inch screen size, boasting 1920x1080p resolution, and can be run at 360 Hz out of the box for highly fluid gameplay.

The monitor can be overclocked up to 390 Hz to increase the fluidity even further, allowing enthusiasts to witness even smoother gameplay. Such high refresh rates are incredibly helpful for games that can reach FPS in triple digits and offer an advantage over regular monitors. The Evnia 25M2N5200U is doing the same without costing an arm and a leg.

The Philips Evnia 25M2N5200U is built for the esports scene, delivering the speed, precision, and responsiveness that competitive gamers need to perform at their best, without forgetting our commitment to a welcoming, innovative, and playful community of gamers all around the world. It builds on Evnia’s commitment to the gamers’ experience, strengthening our role in the esports space and increasing the impact on pro-level gaming as reaffirmed by our ongoing partnership with Team Vitality, with whom we share the vision of making gaming inclusive and enriching.

The Evnia 25M2N5200U boasts a fast IPS panel that provides a wide color gamut for good color reproduction and also supports HDR400 for vivid image quality. While the response time is already decent, with just 1ms gray to gray, the monitor also offers 0.3ms of response time with Smart MBR, which also helps reduce motion blur. Unfortunately, we don't think the monitor is equipped with any Adaptive Sync technology, such as FreeSync or FreeSync Premium, which helps eliminate screen tears.

However, as per the advertised features, the monitor does come with plenty of modern tech that enables better visual quality for its price tag. For connectivity, there are 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x DP 1.4 ports for display output, and a USB hub that has several USB ports for convenient peripheral connectivity. Thankfully, the monitor also offers an ergonomic stand that allows height adjustment, pivot, swivel, and tilt.

Philips Evnia 25M2N5200U will be available mid-May at a price tag of £329.
