Jon Peddie Research has posted its Q3 2025 PC market statistics, which show that the global PC GPU market increased to 76.6 million units, while PC CPU shipments increased to 65 million units. This marks a total GPU shipments increase of 4.0% versus the previous year, in which discrete graphics cards climbed by 10.7% and notebook GPUs climbed by 1.4%. Versus the previous quarter, GPU shipments were up by 2.5%.

During Q3 2025, AMD's overall GPU market share increased by 0.9% while NVIDIA & Intel fell by 0.1% and 0.9%, respectively. In terms of overall GPU market share, Intel leads with a commading 61% market share, NVIDIA is second with a 24% market share, while AMD holds third position with a 15% market share. The numbers cover all iGPUs, dGPUs, and eGPU shipments.

Looking at the yearly trajectory, NVIDIA has gained the biggest share, climbing from 18% in Q3 2024 to 24% in Q3 2025. Intel declined from 65% in Q3 2024 to 61% in Q3 2025, while AMD declined from 17% in Q3 2024 to 15% in Q3 2025. We have previously covered the discrete GPU market share for Q2 2025, in which NVIDIA holds 94% of the market share, with AMD at 6% and Intel at 0%. This share is likely going to remain the same in Q3 2025.

As for CPU shipments, those were up 2.2% versus the previous quarter and saw AMD gaining 1% market share while Intel lost 0.8% market share. Currently, 30% of the market share belongs to desktop CPUs, while notebook CPUs account for 70% market share. This has remained unchanged from the previous year.

None of the three companies released any new GPU in Q3 2025, and the CPU side also saw little to no action. However, the deals season might lead to some interesting shipment figures for Q4 2025. NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel are mostly focused on their new lineups, which should be introduced around the first half of 2026.
