Overwatch 2: Invasion Ultimate GeForce RTX Bundle Announced by NVIDIA

NVIDIA announced a partnership with Blizzard for an Overwatch 2: Invasion Ultimate GeForce RTX bundle. For a limited time, purchasing a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card, desktop PC, or laptop PC at select retailers will provide entitlement to the bundle.

The Overwatch 2: Invasion Ultimate GeForce RTX bundle includes the following virtual goods:

In case you're wondering, the bundle is worth $39.99 and is sold directly by Blizzard as well.

NVIDIA took the opportunity to reiterate that its graphics cards can offer unparalleled performance in the free-to-play hero shooter game. The RTX 4090, NVIDIA's top-of-the-line GPU of the latest Ada Lovelace architecture, can break 500 frames per second in Overwatch 2 when rendering at 1440p resolution. Moreover, even owners of old GTX GeForce graphics cards (on Series 900 and newer) can take advantage of NVIDIA Reflex, which is able to reduce system latency by up to 60% in this game.

Overwatch 2: Invasion marks the long-awaited debut of Player-versus-Environment (PvE) content in the game. It was supposed to be a staple of the sequel, but Blizzard scrapped the hero progression system and replayable missions that should have constituted the backbone of PvE in Overwatch 2. Players are instead getting just three missions based on the following premise:

The rogue Omnic group, Null Sector, has begun attacking Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Gothenburg, using powerful war bots to defeat anything that stands in their way. Winston and his Overwatch strike team are on a mission to stop Null Sector, and they'll need to rely on allies - old and new - to get the job done.

Thankfully, this update also adds a brand new support hero called Illari, a new limited time (active until September 5th) co-op event called King's Row Underworld, and a new core PvP game mode called Flashpoint, where teams vie for control of a central objective. It's said to be similar to the Control game mode, albeit quicker-paced.
