Apple has started seeding the OS X 10.11.4 beta 1 to public testers today. The first public beta comes only a few days after the test build was released to the developers.

For those of you registered with Apple's beta testing program, the new OS X 10.11.4 beta is available in the Mac's App Store. Simply go to Software Update to get the latest beta on your own MacBooks. Apple has released both the OS X 10.11.4 and OS X 10.11.3 betas to developers and now to public testers as well. OS X 10.11.3 is expected to be released to the public very soon. Bringing no new major design features, OS X 10.11.4 and OS X 10.11.3 focus on performance enhancements, bug fixes, and under the hood optimizations.
With the OS X 10.11.4 public beta release, testers will be able to experience Live Photo viewing and sharing in Messages, secure password protection for notes in the Notes app, and other smaller improvements.
The last update coming to public was OS X 10.11.2 which was rolled out over a month ago on December, 8th. OS X 10.11.2 was the second update to the El Capitan bringing some major bug fixes including fixes to Office 2016. The software had also brought in new emoji, among other things:
-Improves Wi-Fi reliability
-Improves the reliability of Handoff and AirDrop
-Fixes an issue that may cause Bluetooth devices to disconnect
-Fixes an issue that prevented Mail from deleting messages in an offline Exchange account
-Fixes an issue that prevented importing photos from an iPhone to a Mac using a USB cable
-Improves iCloud Photo Sharing for Live Photos
