Origin Code, the high-performance memory brand of Biwin, has showcased its super-fast Vortex modules with liquid cooling and spectacular overclocks at Computex.
Origin Code Showcases OC Capabilities of its Vortex DDR5 Memory That Comes With Both Air and Liquid Coolers
Since the introduction of 4-Rank CUDIMM or CQDIMM, we have seen modules that pack higher densities and higher frequencies. Origin Code showcased just that with its latest 4R CUDIMM memory that was showcased running on Gigabyte's Z890 AORUS Elite DUO X with Intel's latest Core Ultra 7 270K Plus.
The two Origin Code modules were able to provide the system with a massive 256 GB capacity, which was only possible with four 64 GB RAM modules in the past. And not just that, they were also running super-fast, at speeds of 8000 MT/s (CL64-63-63-128-CR2).
Origin Code's RAM sticks feature highly-binned memory from SK Hynix that allows such speeds out of the box. Each module was hovering around 60 °C temperatures under the RAM test benchmark, and the most interesting part is that the DRAM ICs weren't covered by the heatsink. The exclusion of the heatsink was only meant for demo purposes, and the final variant will have a heatsink covering the DDR5 modules.
On the AMD front, Origin code demoed its newest EXPO ULL (Ultra-Low-Latency) memory modules featuring 6200 MT/s speeds and optimized sub-timings running on the ROG Crosshair X870E DARK HERO motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D v2 CPU, & really good timings of CL28-35-35-76-CR1. The ULL kits provide really low latency and can help boost performance in a range of applications such as AI, Content Creation, and Games.
We have already talked about Origin Code's Vortex triple-fan memory cooling solution, but this Computex, Origin Code has a liquid-cooled module which features an open-loop design, and comes with a display on the front which provides real-time CPU, GPU, and RAM temperature monitoring.
The demo setup featured 256 GB (64 GB x 4) DDR5-6000 modules on the MSI X870E GODLIKE motherboard, and with timings set at CL30-43-43-102-CR1. Overall, a really good showcase for the enthusiasts who are gunning for better memory solutions on the market.
