ONEXSUGAR Handheld Launched at $669, Featuring 16 GB + 512 GB Configuration; Features Dual-OLED Screen Setup and Hall-Effect Joysticks
ONEXPlayer, which produces gaming handhelds and external GPUs, has debuted its latest Android handheld, ONEXSUGAR, which it claims is the world's first Dual-Screen Android handheld. The handheld offers a modular design and dual OLED screen configurations: a 6.01" OLED display as the primary one and a 3.92" OLED display for various operations like multi-tasking, real-time monitoring, and in-game assistance.
ONEXSUGAR has deployed the latest Snapdragon G Series SoC on the handheld, which brings an 8-core Qualcomm Kryo CPU and Adreno A32 GPU, delivering up to 28% faster GPU and 30% faster CPU performance compared to its predecessor. The new SoC makes gaming more pleasant, and the OLED displays offer rich details and high contrast to bring superior visuals compared to regular handhelds.
The gaming handheld uses a UFS 4.0 storage system that brings 512 GB of capacity for storing a lot of games, while 16 GBof RAM that runs at 8533 MT/s is fast enough to keep up with intensive demands. Since the hardware is powerful and may generate more heat in intensive processes, ONEXSUGAR takes care of it by deploying the active dual-fan cooling system.
Controls bring you the Hall Effect Joysticks, which eliminate drifting and register even the smallest movements with accuracy. The primary controller brings you the face buttons on both sides and allows you to switch ABXY layout. Other controls include the standard L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons, which are remappable, and there are controller mapping presets to suit different game types. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, which are top-of-the-line wireless connectivity features in today's electronics, and a Type-C port that supports multiple functions like fast charging, video output, and peripheral connectivity.
The ONEXSUGAR console will be available through Indiegogo for purchase and is offered with an early bird discount. ONEXPlayer has officially priced it at $669 without the early bird discount, but for the first 72 hours, users can buy it for $599.
