OneXPlayer Increases APEX Handheld's Price by $200 for All Configurations; There's Still 96 Hours to Secure One for the Launch Price

Popular handheld and eGPU manufacturer, OneXPlayer, has also officially announced on X today that it's going to increase the prices for its newest OneXFly APEX gaming handheld. The move comes after several hardware manufacturers announced price hikes for their devices. Since DRAM and Storage drive prices are affecting almost every device, such a notification was expected. And going by this trend, it shouldn't be surprising if tomorrow more handheld and PC makers announce the same.

Due to depleted APEX memory and SSD inventory, along with continued component cost increases, the APEX Indiegogo pricing will be adjusted in 96 hours. A second price adjustment may also be required if market conditions continue to change. For those planning to back APEX, now is the best time to secure the current pricing.

OneXPlayer, which is a popular Chinese hardware manufacturer today, said that due to depleting memory and SSD inventory, it had no choice but to increase the APEX pricing on Indiegogo by $200. Surprisingly, this increase isn't just for the top configuration, but for every configuration APEX is available with. So, even if you choose to go with the 32 GB / 1 TB configuration, you are still going to pay an additional $200, and whether you choose the air-cooled or the liquid-cooled version, the price hike will be the same across all the configurations.

The APEX is the flagship gaming handheld by OneXPlayer, which is the only Ryzen AI Max+ 395-based handheld to feature a liquid-cooled version, starting at $1,459. Its standard version was launched at $1,399, but with a $200 price hike, these will sell for $1,659 and $1,599, respectively. However, OneXPlayer hasn't yet implemented the price hike, as it is giving its customers 96 hours to buy the handheld. So, for users who want to have the leading gaming performance on the handhelds, OneXPlayer is urging them to buy immediately.

We leave this decision to our readers, and it's recommended to go through the specs before making the purchasing decision. APEX comes with an 8-inch 120 Hz display, standard air-cooled and liquid-cooled versions, and RAM/Storage configurations of up to 128 GB/ 2 TB, which cost $2,239-$2,299.
