OnePlus 12 with 24GB RAM Might Not Hit the United States and Other Markets Outside China

We finally got an official look at the OnePlus 12 yesterday, and since then, information kept coming out about the phone, including the official cases for the device. Now, the company has shared that the phone is going to offer wireless charging, and in a separate post, the company has also revealed the camera system found on the new device.

OnePlus 12 offers the same camera found on the OnePlus Open, 50W wireless charging, IR blaster, and rainwater touch feature

Let's get the wireless charging out of the way - the company confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will indeed offer wireless charging but did not point out the charging speed. However, there have been rumors in the past indicating that it will offer 50W wireless charging, which should be enough. In addition to that, the phone will also have an IR blaster and rainwater touch, which will let you use the device without any issues, even when your hands are wet.

Now, coming to the cameras, the OnePlus 12 is going to deliver an impressive camera system as it has now been confirmed that the phone will offer the same camera system found in the OnePlus Open and OPPO Find N3.

The image above proves that the OnePlus 12 will use a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor. You are also getting a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a periscope lens. The new phone will also bring a 13-channel multi-spectral sensor to help the camera's overall performance.

Honestly, I am not really surprised by the decision to go with these cameras for the OnePlus 12. They are tried and tested, and the OnePlus Open has been largely considered one of the best in terms of camera performance, at least in the OnePlus portfolio. Yet, thanks to a more advanced imaging processor, you can expect better performance in general.

The phone will launch on 5th December in China, and OnePlus will announce the OnePlus 12 sometime in January 2024 for the global market. Based on the information we have received so far, the phone will definitely be impressive, offering a lot of improvements over its predecessor, and we will keep you posted about everything we learn.
