ONDA, a Chinese motherboard maker, recently released its B760ITX-B4 which is a Mini-ITX design that retails for less than 70 US.
This Mini ITX B760 Motherboard Is Super-Cheap & A Good Option For Budget PC Builders
.The ONDA B760ITX-B4 may not seem a lot at first but it carries all the necessary things for a budget gaming PC. The motherboard comes in a Mini-ITX form factor which features the latest socket "LGA 1700". This allows the motherboard to support Intel 12th Gen, 13th Gen & even the upcoming 14th Gen CPUs. The motherboard features an 8-Phase CPU VRM that is powered by a single 8-pin connector and the rest is delivered through the 24-pin EPS connector.
In terms of layout, the ONDA B760ITX-B4 has a heatsink on the VRMs and also the B760 PCH. The memory options include support for two DDR4 DIMMs rated at up to 3600 MT/s. A DDR5 option may have been nice but would also have cost a bit extra so going with DDR4 makes sense on this budget-tier design. In addition to that, there's a single PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 slot for discrete graphics, PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD slot, and four SATA III ports.
I/O on this motherboard includes a 1 GbE LAN switch, a 3.5mm audio interface, 1 each (VGA, DP, HDMI), an open-slot for an M.2 Wi-Fi interface that can be added later, 6 USB 3.0 (4 Rear / 2 Front), and 4 USB 2.0 (2 Rear / 2 Front) ports. There's also a PS/2 port & that's about it as far as the specs are concerned of this motherboard.
The most important thing about the ONDA B760ITX-B4 board is its pricing which is just 499 RMB or $68 US, making it a phenomenal option for budget Core i3 & Core i5 builders. There are also DDR5 mATX options which are available at the same sub $100 US pricing with similar features so there's a lot that users can choose from (plus they even have white-colored PCBs).
Given the recent price discounts on the 12th Gen lineup, these cheap boards are going to give the AM4 platform a run for their money. We hope that there are more B760 options in this price range coming sooner.
