NVIDIA has officially launched their new GeForce GTX 650 Ti graphics card today which is an updated version of the GeForce GTX 650 Ti with NVIDIA's GPU Boost technology and a better memory interface.

NVIDIA Ends the GeForce 600 Series Chapter With GTX 650 Ti Boost

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost is equipped with the GK106 core architecture which retains most of the same configuration as the GeForce GTX 650 Ti. The GK106 core comes with 768 Cuda cores, 24 ROPs and a 2 GB VRAM that operates along a 192-bit memory interface. For comparison, NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 650 Ti came with only 1 GB 128-bit interface. Similarly as overall specifications, NVIDIA has also given a boost to the clock frequencies on the GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost along with the introduction of GPU Boost technology itself. The core is maintained at a 980 MHz and 1033 MHz for boost speed while the memory operates at NVIDIA's reference 6008 MHz or 6 GHz effective frequency. The card has a rated TDP of 140 Watts and is powered through a single 6-Pin connector. Display outputs include Dual Link DVI, HDMI and DP.

Furthermore, the GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost offers 2-Way SLI functionality and offers compatibility with  PCI-Express 3.0. The GTX 650 Ti Boost from NVIDIA is retailing at an MSRP of  $150 - $160 sine its a gap filler between the GTX 650 Ti and GTX 660, both of which are also based on the GK106 architecture. Price drops for both card are underway since the launch of AMD's Radeon HD 7790 a few days back.

Another thing to note is that while NVIDIA offers a $150 in-game currency package with other 600 series cards, with the GTX 650 Ti Boost they are only offering a $75 package which means only $25 would be redeemable per game.
