NVIDIA's "mid-tier" GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is expected to launch by February 20, as revealed by a new listing from the European retailer Proshop.
NVIDIA To Compete With AMD's RDNA 4 Offerings Through Its 70-Class & 80-Class GPUs, 5070 Ti Slated For End February
Well, NVIDIA's RTX 50 batch of 70-class GPUs was unveiled at CES 2025, but Team Green didn't really announce a launch date for these SKUs. We do now know that these SKUs will be launching next month, and interestingly, a new listing by Proshop has validated this claim, as it mentions the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti getting launched at the retail channels on February 20, marking the first time we have seen SKU's release date surface up. The listed model is ASUS's Prime variant, a rather mid-tier variant in the AIB lineup.
Given that Proshop is one of the retailers out there to know about how NVIDIA will release its GPUs, it is likely that this launch date is accurate, and it makes sense to some point as well. Considering the fact that AMD's Radeon RX 9070 series is now expected to launch by March, this will give NVIDIA time to showcase its offerings to the mainstream markets earlier than Team Red, allowing consumers to have a better comparison on which side to opt for.
For a quick rundown on the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti specifications, the GPU features a cut-down GB203 GPU with 8960 CUDA Cores. The memory side will come with a 16GB GDDR7 VRAM, offering a bandwidth boost of 78% over the 4070 Ti to 896 GB/s. As per the specs page, the GPU will operate at a boost clock of 2.45 GHz. In terms of performance, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is expected to offer almost two times the uplift over the RTX 4070 Ti while being priced at $749 US.
Whether or not NVIDIA's 70-class RTX Blackwell GPU manages to sustain the competition from AMD's RDNA 4 GPUs is a question for the future, but as far as we know, this time, the rivalry will be much more heated, as both companies are now focused on providing the best perf/$ value out of their GPUs.
