For the most part, the Nothing company has experimented with two colors alone, the standard black and white for its devices. However, it changed the general pattern by launching a blue variant for the Phone 2a and releasing the wireless earbuds in Yellow this year. While we were already excited with the new bold and innovative steps in upgrading the tones, the company has been hinting at a Nothing Phone 2(a) Special Edition, marking a new landmark in terms of design for the company.

Nothing's Phone 2(a) Special Edition comes in three new accents and highlights the company's brand identity

The London-based company has now officially unveiled the new limited version of the Phone 2(a), which has been teased for the past few days, and it is pivoting away from the classic phone look that has long been its trademark. Although the essence of the device remains unchanged as it did not compromise on the core of the phone, that is, the transparent back, it has put together some interesting colors to the device: red, yellow, and blue

The phone already has a unique selling point in terms of its unusual core design, which is the see-through look. Still, with the current experiment with bright hues, it has become even more visually appealing and has an artistic touch. The special edition also takes the lead of the highest number of colors used on a Nothing device. The base color of the phone is white, while the three color accents can be found on the rear panel. What makes this aesthetically more interesting is the 'two' spelled out in gray tone while the body otherwise remains clear.

Nothing has used these primary colors in its products every now and then separately, but this is the first time it has brought together the three hues while maintaining the core element in an attempt to celebrate its journey so far by offering an amalgamation of all. The company, in its announcement, does emphasize how it is indeed marking what the brand stands for by saying;

The Nothing Phone 2(a) Special Edition celebrates primary colors and their place within Nothing's brand identity.

While the limited variant's design has significantly changed, the phone's hardware remains the same as the 2(a). It comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080x2412 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. On the camera front, it carries a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera. Like the Nothing Phone 2a, the Special Edition also has a 5000 mAh battery. It also features a Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, 12GB of RAM, and runs on Android 14.

The limited model, priced at £349, offers no unique features, but its striking design alone is enough to make it stand out and gain popularity among tech enthusiasts. Proof of this statement can be found in the high demand for the limited edition, as the phone has officially been sold out. However, you can check the company's official website for further updates.
