Since there are little new details to reveal for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, its results on the tech media are clear. Even the most rudimentary of changes gets the limelight, in order to drive up views. One such feature is a tiny cutout on the side of several case leaks.
The media jumped the gun and speculation started to bubble. Some folks believed that the dedicated Bixby button had changed positions to stop folks from accidentally using it. Others claimed that Samsung just might launch the Galaxy Note 9 with a dedicated camera button. Well, we've got some fresh case leaks from notorious tipster Ice Universe which shed more light on the matter.
As you can see in the first image above, the cutout is for a strap. Its location is perfect for this use and the source himself confirms that the cutout is for lanyard straps. So that settles it. If you come across such images, know for sure that Samsung does not have any such change planned for the Galaxy Note 9. The Korean tech giant sticks with iterative upgrades for long since it saves it manufacturing costs of manufacturing new parts.
Today's leak also corroborates another detail that's surfaced earlier. Samsung will change the fingerprint sensor's location on the Galaxy Note 9. The company will place it under the dual camera setup, in order to leave more space up for the battery.
