New PS4 Firmware Update With New Software Features Appears to be Inbound As Sony Japan is Looking For Beta Testers

It appears that a large PS4 firmware update is inbound as Sony Japan is looking for beta testers to try out the update's latest features.

As noted by website Push Square, Sony hasn’t mentioned a version number, but testing of “the latest features”  suggests that we might be looking at PS4 Firmware update 5.0. The Japanese beta test for the new firmware runs from July 19 until July 27, and Sony will likely announce a beta for the Western world as well.

PS4 Firmware update 4.72, which also includes firmware updates 4.70 and 4.71, was released last week, and offers improved system performance. No further details were shared by Sony.
