MSI has revealed a new LGA1366 motherboard with excellent features and a relatively low price tag.
The X58A-GD65 is based on the LGA1366 socket, it has 2 PCI-E X16 slots at full bandwidth and a PCI-E X16 Slot that works at X4 bandwidth. Other slots include 2 PCI-E X1 slots and 2 PCI slots. It has the ICH10R southbridge and supports CrossfireX ONLY.
Other features:
- 10 USB 2.0 ports and 2 USB3.0 ports
- 8 SATA ports, 2 of which are SATA 6 GB/s, the rest are SATA 3GB/s
- 8 channel audio
- Ethernet port
- Supports Intel's hexa-core processors and DDR3 RAM up-to 2133Mhz
At 210 Euros, this board is VERY well priced considering its feature-set and should be an excellent buy for anyone looking for an upgrade to an i7 without spending too much cash or compromising on any features.
