MSI has managed to see a massive growth with its business in the past year, driving up motherboard shipments on a level similar to leading AIBs in the market.

MSI Sees a Massive Rise in Q2 Revenue As Well, Driven By Motherboard & PC Shipments

With the AI hype coming into play, along with the usual consumer upgrade cycle, manufacturers like Gigabyte, ASUS, and ASRock are aggressively pushing newer products into the market. However, a new report shows that MSI has seen massive adoption from PC users.

From DigiTimes, it is revealed that MSI's motherboard shipments have surpassed the 10 million unit mark for the first time, making it a major milestone for the manufacturer since they have now closed the gap with Gigabyte. More importantly, MSI seems to have much larger plans for the AI server markets as well.

Driven by AMD's X870 and Intel's Z890 platforms, MSI offerings have managed to stand out, especially with their thermal designs and, not to forget, amazing aesthetics. More importantly, the company has been expanding into the budget-friendly segment as well, with offerings like the MAG B850M Mortar Wi-Fi motherboard, which we have already thoroughly examined.

This has allowed the AIB to expand its market share in the motherboard segment, by reaching at all-time high in motherboard shipments, and levelling the competition with the likes of Gigabyte and ASUS.

In addition, MSI's notebook shipments are expected to rise impressively, reaching 2.55 million units in 2025. The company saw a slight slowdown with the recent rounds of US tariffs, but in the recent quarter earnings, the firm set a new record with H1 figures, signaling strong sales momentum. Since most AIBs are benefiting from the AI hype, MSI plans to ramp up its offeringswith their enterprise solutions, such as the NVIDIA MGX AI servers and their more recent custom solution of NVIDIA's DGX Spark supercomputer.

MSI has plans to keep this momentum ongoing by expanding its production, and more importantly, opening up new facilities in the US, which will allow them to sustain consumer demand. In addition to these, MSI's GPU division also seems to be performing well, reaching 5 Million Units and tying the market share with ASUS.
