The MSI MEG Z890 GODLIKE is probably the costliest motherboard from MSI, exceeding the $1200 price tag as revealed in the launch video.

The MSI MEG Z890 GODLIKE flagship motherboard costs $1,264 in the US and €1,379.99 in Europe

With the launch of Intel's Arrow Lake Core Ultra Series 2 chips, many motherboard makers launched their Z890 chipset motherboards, including MSI, which is one of the leading motherboard manufacturers. The company offers various models aimed at different price points but it seems that the company has gone a bit too far with regards to the pricing of its flagship model.

The recent livestream by MSI Gaming YouTube channel, which went for over 2 hours, revealed that MSI's flagship MEG Z890 GODLIKE will cost over $1200. The exact prices are US$1,264 for the USA and €1,379.99 for the EU region. For comparison, the company released its MEG Z790 GODLIKE for $1200, which was still an incredibly high price.

The Z890 GODLIKE broke this record and went over $1250 for the NA market. If we convert the official price for the EU region, the price comes out to be US$1510, including 20% VAT. MSI's GODLIKE has always been its flagship model in almost every motherboard series, which is meant for enthusiast overclockers.

Usually, GODLIKE motherboards would provide the best VRM, onboard features, compatibility, and connectivity for its users. The MEG Z890 GODLIKE is the latest from the company, featuring LGA 1851 socket for Intel Arrow Lake CPUs. The motherboard features an insanely robust VRM, comprising a 30-power phase VRM with 110A SPS. It boasts a 10-layer PCB design, server-grade material, and dense heatsinks for passive heat dissipation. The features of this motherboard include:

From aesthetics to connectivity, the MEG Z890 GODLIKE brings all the premium features to the table, including the Thunderbolt 5 ports, WiFi 7, dual LAN ports (10G + 5G), EZ DIY, and memory support of up to 9200 MT/s through Intel XMP.

Nonetheless, the Z890 GODLIKE isn't for the masses and will most likely appeal to overclockers who would want to break overclocking world records with the Intel Arrow Lake CPUs like Core Ultra 9 285K. No other motherboard from the company exceeds the $1000 price tag except for this model and the next most expensive model, MEG Z890 ACE costs $689, which is roughly half the price of the Z890 GODLIKE.
