Monster Hunter World Release Date Confirmed; New Trailer Released

Monster Hunter World, the new entry in the series announced earlier this year for PC and consoles, finally received a release date.

Today, Capcom confirmed that the latest entry in their popular series will launch in all regions on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26th. A PC release date has yet to be confirmed, though the publisher said before that it would release later on the platform.

A Monster Hunter World PlayStation 4 Pro Model has also been announced today. The console, which has been confirmed only for Japan so far, will be released on December 7th.

Monster Hunter World is the first home console release for the series in quite some time. As such, the game will come with plenty of new features not found in previous entries.

Battle gigantic monsters in epic locales.

As a hunter, you'll take on quests to hunt monsters in a variety of habitats.
Take down these monsters and receive materials that you can use to create stronger weapons and armor in order to hunt even more dangerous monsters.

Set foot on the New World as a hunter from the Research Commission.

Armed with your trusty weapons and armor, you will encounter monsters of all shapes and sizes.
You will track down monsters by following their tracks, using environmental hazards to control them, and wielding powerful weapons to take them down.

The New World is filled with never-before-seen wonders. With the rest of the Research Commission at your back, delve into the far reaches of the New World and discover its secrets.

Monster Hunter World launches this January on PS4 and Xbox One. A PC release date has yet to be confirmed.
