Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, presumably a sequel for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, has been leaked by online retailer Target.com.

Apparently, there will be a basic edition and a Gold Edition, sporting different box art images. As you might have guessed, the Gold Edition comes with the game's version of a Season Pass.

The product page description also gives us a few tidbits on Middle-Earth: Shadow of War itself. So far the game has been listed for an August 22nd launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though a PC release is also likely.

Go behind enemy lines to forge your army, conquer Fortresses and dominate Mordor from within. Experience how the award winning Nemesis System creates unique personal stories with every enemy and follower, and confront the full power of the Dark Lord Sauron and his Ringwraiths in this epic new story of Middle-earth.

In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, nothing will be forgotten.

Middle Earth: Shadow of War Gold Edition includes:

• Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion
• Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion
• The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion
• The Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion
• Gold War Chest
• Over $125 in total value

Nemesis Expansions include a new Orc Tribe featuring new enemies, followers, missions, abilities, weapons, Fortress and wilderness updates, and a Mythic Gear Set.

Story Expansions introduce a new campaign, playable character & abilities, side missions, enemies, allies & more.

The box art clearly shows that Shadow of Mordor's protagonist Talion is back in business for Shadow of War; in fact, Kotaku's Jason Schreier said that he'll be working again with Celebrimbor to create a ring that's as powerful as Sauron's.

Shadow of Mordor was one of the best games released in 2014. Hopefully Monolith Production can improve and expand on the solid foundation of that game in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

Stay tuned for more details on the game as they become available.
