MAXSUN Unveils Another Motherboard with a GPU Slot at the Back; Introducing MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi, Which Brings a PCIe 5.0 x16 Slot Mounted on the Back

Last month, Chinese hardware manufacturer MAXSUN introduced the MS-Terminator B760 BKB D5 motherboard for Intel CPU owners, introducing a new location for the GPU slot. The company has introduced another such motherboard, but for AMD Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 CPU owners who want to have the same back-slot GPU design to accommodate the GPU at the back of the motherboard.

The MS-Terminator B850 BKB WiFi brings the AMD B850 chipset for the latest Ryzen CPUs and uses the Mini-ITX form-factor to allow users to cram their components inside a small chassis without needing a dedicated PCIe riser cable. With the PCIe slot at the back, not only does the motherboard eliminate the need to have enough clearance at the front, but it also eliminates any GPU sag as it supports the GPU vertically. The GPU will be facing sideways, needing less chassis depth, and there are cases like the MasterBox iF15, which will serve the purpose very well.

MAXSUN hasn't yet published the official product page on the website, but we know a few details about the motherboard from what it has revealed on its social accounts. The motherboard brings a PCIe Gen 5.0 interface for the latest AMD RX 9000 and NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs, also enabling future-proofing for faster Gen 5.0 graphics cards. For RAM, there are 2x DIMMs, and they should support up to 96 GB DDR5 memory capacity.

We can also see a PCIe x4 slot on the PCB, and the motherboard is provided with a built-in WiFi adapter. For storage, there are two M.2 slots (1x front, 1x back), but the SATA ports are just two vs four on the B760 edition. We can also see at least 6x USB ports at the I/O, and a couple of other ports, including display output connectors, three Audio jacks, and probably a USB Type-C port as well.

Detailed specs on the VRM, RAM frequency support, WiFi version, headers, etc. aren't disclosed yet, but MAXSUN has been teasing the product for a few days now, so we can expect detailed information on it in the coming days.
