A new early Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comparison video was shared online earlier today, putting the first story trailers for both entries in the series to highlight the visual differences between the two games.

The comparison, which was put together by ElAnalistaDeBits, shows how the second main entry in the series is a massive visual upgrade over its already great-looking predecessor in every possible way. From environment design to lighting, it looks like the next entry in the series will be way above its predecessor in every possible way, although some may dislike some character design changes for the main cast.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release later this year exclusively on PlayStation 5. The next entry in the series by Insomniac will expand its predecessor experience in a lot of different ways, giving players new abilities to play with, a much bigger map to explore, and more. The game will also mark the debut of Venom in the series, who will be played by renowned actor Tony Todd.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on PlayStation 5 on October 20th worldwide. A Limited Edition PlayStation 5 console and DualSense controller were also announced for a September 1st worldwide release date.
