The inevitable has come to pass as Apple’s MacBook Neo has experienced a major popularity surge to the point that the company cannot keep up with the voracious demand. While the technology firm has set up a robust supply chain to combat any demand problems, it’s also the case of Apple having to deal with its A18 Pro chipset supply issues, forcing delivery times on its online store to reach a long waiting period, where buyers will have to endure not being able to get their hands on a unit until May.
With delivery times reaching up to three weeks, it’s next to impossible for buyers to get their hands on a MacBook Neo; luckily, there are other ways to try your luck
The exact shipment tally hasn’t been shared by Apple or external sources, but the image below shows the company’s online store displaying a delay of two to three weeks before the MacBook Neo reaches customers. At the bare minimum, with logistics and supply being properly optimized, those who placed an order for Apple’s $599 portable Mac shouldn’t expect these products to arrive before May 1.
Fortunately, Apple’s online store isn’t the only place where you can get your hands on the MacBook Neo. For instance, if you are in desperate need of a capable notebook that can be delivered in April, Amazon is currently taking orders for both the 256GB and 512GB storage variants. Best of all, the online retailer is selling the MacBook Neo at a slightly lower price of $589.99 for the base model and $689.99 for the top-end version.
The Silver color can be delivered to customers the fastest, with an estimated delivery date of April 21 for the 256GB model and April 22 for the 512GB variant. Even yesterday, Apple dropped a major hint in a promotional video that the MacBook Neo was selling in droves, and the latest evidence pretty much confirms that the affordable machine is one of Apple’s most successful launches.
Of course, some of you still aren’t used to experiencing macOS and if you want to continue hailing from the Windows 11 camp, we recommend getting Lenovo’s IdeaPad Slim 3X, a 15.3-inch notebook that ships with an 8-core Snapdragon X chipset, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a 512GB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD, and more, for only $629 on Amazon.
