DMs and Twitter are a match made in heaven and a feature that a lot of use daily. Whether it is work-related correspondence or just catching up with followers, it is easy, convenient, and quick. However, based on some new information spotted, that might soon change because you would have to pay to access the feature properly.
Twitter wants you to subscribe to Twitter Blue if you want to have unlimited access to DMs
Reliable leaker and reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi discovered that Twitter appears to be working on a new Blue feature that will limit the number of DMs sent in a day. And if you want to have an unlimited number, you will have to subscribe to Twitter Blue, a feature that has been polarizing ever since it came out.
For those who don't know, Twitter already has a limit set in place, but that is 500 DMs per day, which is a lot. I cannot think of an instance where I would exhaust this limit in a day, but some people might. However, when the new feature rolls out, this limit will be decreased, and in order to access a higher limit, you will have to pay.

It is also worth noting that there is no word on when this feature will be implemented, but there is a high chance that you will be seeing it in the coming months if not weeks, and when it does roll out, your DM limit on Twitter will be reduced from 500 DMs a day to something else, the number is currently not known.
Honestly, I don't use Twitter DMs as much as some other people, but I can see how this feature would upset users. After all, putting a free feature behind the paywall and limiting it even further for users who don't want to pay is really not the smartest idea. This sounds like a forceful subscription to Twitter Blue, and I don't think people are going to subscribe to get access to a single feature that they would want to use.
I am sure Twitter Blue will also be getting access to a host of other features in the coming months, and I will keep you posted as I see more changes taking place. Until then, stay tuned and let us know what you think about the limit on DMs you can send in a single day.
