A few days ago, LG launched its first Tandem OLED gaming monitor in China, which offered up to 1,500 Nits of peak brightness. Once again, LG is back with more advanced Primary RGB Tandem-based displays in South Korea, showcasing three more innovative offerings at the COEX event, held in the capital city. LG's Primary RGB Tandem OLED, also known as 4th gen OLED displays, are the brightest in the industry, offering up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness and higher typical brightness than regular OLED panels.

The Primary RGB Tandem technology involves four layers of Green, Blue, and Red OLED panels, enabling higher brightness and contrast than ever before. With this advanced layer stacking, LG has produced three more industry-leading displays, offering the brightest, fastest, and highest resolution OLED displays. The first one is the 83-inch large OLED display, offering up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness.
The second offering is LG's and the world's fastest OLED monitor, bringing up to 540 Hz refresh rate on a 27-inch screen size, boasting 1440p resolution. Moreover, this monitor offers DFR technology (Dynamic Frequency & Resolution) to switch to 720p resolution and run at an incredible 720 Hz refresh rate. With an excellent color reproduction with 99.5% DCI-P3 color gamut and up to 1,500 nits of brightness, it not only is equivalent to LG UltraGear 27GX700A but is significantly faster, as the latter can only achieve up to 280 Hz refresh rate at QHD resolution.
The third display showcased was a 45-inch 5K2K (5120x2160p) panel, delivering the highest resolution on an OLED panel. With such a high resolution and a large screen size, it's ideal for watching high-quality video content, but will be highly immersive for gaming as well. All these newly unveiled monitors offer the industry's leading specifications and features on OLED displays, but LG hasn't commented on their pricing and availability yet.
Update: The 720Hz LG gaming monitor will boast full HD resolution and not HD.
