The AI supercycle has pushed Lexar into creating dedicated solutions for the market, which include AI-Grade SSD and memory solutions. Lexar is using its top-end Gen5 solutions, which are specifically optimized around these workflows.

At Computex, Lexar showcased its AI-Grade Gen5 SSD, which offers 11 GB/s speeds with a self-developed Gen5 controller. Lexar pairs the SSDs with its Intelligent Distribution Technology, which helps reduce DRAM capacity by 40%.

There's also the AI-Grade Gen5 Storage Stick with 11 GB/s speeds, offering instant expansion to your AI stations on the go. Lexar also offers Gen4 variants of its AI solutions targeting entry-level devices for expanded storage when running local models.

Coming to SSDs, Lexar is upgrading its lineup with three new products based on the PCIe Gen5 standard. At the very top is the NM1090 PRO, which now comes up to 8 TB capacities, offering faster speeds of up to 14,400 MB/s Read and 13,400 MB/s Write, while packing DRAM & SLC Dynamic Cache. Lexar has also used a 6nm SMI controller, which reduces thermal stress and power, leading to more efficient use.

For mainstream users, Lexar has the NM990 and NM970, which are also Gen5 SSDs. The NM990 starts at 1 TB and goes up to 4 TB, while the NM970 starts at 512 GB and goes up to 4 TB. The NM990 offers up to 14 GB/s read speeds with SLC Dynamic Cache, while the NM970 offers up to 11 GB/s read speeds.

Lexar also showcased its ARES RGB DDR5 memory, which is ROG Certified and delivers fast performance when paired with ASUS's ROG motherboards. The memory supports Ultra Low Latency CL28 timings and comes with a thermal module that offers cooling to the binned SK Hynix DDR5 modules.

The company also offers its Play series SSDs designed with handheld and console devices in mind. The Lexar PLAY X Gen4 SSD supports both M.2 2230 and M.2 2280 form factors, offering capacities of up to 2TB in a compact design. The SSD plugs directly into M.2 2230 slots for a simple installation. Additionally, the included adapter bracket enables universal compatibility with M.2 2280 slots, allowing for easy installation without the need for additional tools. This versatile design makes the Lexar PLAY X Gen4 SSD an ideal upgrade for a wide range of handheld gaming devices, laptops, and desktop PCs.

And lastly, we have the Play PRO storage solutions for Nintendo Switch 2 handheld gamers in the form of MicroSD cards and USB 3.2 Gen2 "SD" card readers. These give handheld gamers an easy way to increase their capacity to install more games on these compact platforms. These also make for a seamless & easy way to transfer large files using a compact, pocket-sized solution.
