New Legion gaming monitors have been added to Lenovo's catalog, which offer a sleek look similar to office monitors.
Lenovo Unveils Legion Gaming Monitors: 27Q-10 And 27Q-11, Featuring High Refresh Rates on IPS and HVA Panels
Lenovo has introduced two new gaming monitors, both featuring the same screen size of 27 inches. These aren't your regular monitors, but they bring a hybrid design, featuring the aesthetics of an office monitor while keeping the features of a modern gaming monitor for smooth visuals. While both are similar in looks, there are several differences between the two.
The first model, 27Q-10, is based on the IPS panel, bringing good color reproduction and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz. The second one is the 27Q-11, which also offers the same 1440p resolution can go as high as 300 Hz, but uses a different panel. While not confirmed, it likely uses the HVA panel made by CSOT (China Star Optoelectronics Technology), which is a subsidiary of TCL and produces display panels for TVs, monitors, and smartphones.
Compared to the regular IPS panel, it is based on the VA technology but is superior in color reproduction to a regular VA panel. It is still a bit inferior in a few areas compared to IPS, but it offers much better contrast and is usually used on high refresh-rate monitors. As far as the appearance is concerned, you can see that these monitors don't look like modern gaming monitors but are sleek, thin, and exhibit the aesthetics of an office/productivity monitor.
The stand base is small, but the stand itself looks ergonomic, which can be adjusted in height. There is a small routing hole in the stand for cable management as well. The display appears to be completely flat, even from the sides, offering that sleek office monitor look. We don't know much about the connectivity of these monitors, and the detailed specifications are also unknown.
As per the report, the monitors haven't been launched for sale yet, and since not much is known about their features or specs, the pricing will be disclosed later as well.
