Samsung Canceled the Galaxy S22 FE so It Could Increase Galaxy S22 Ultra Production

Samsung may have skipped the Galaxy S22 FE, but for some time now, there have been strong rumors that the company is working on the Galaxy S23 FE. This would be a compelling device if it eventually comes out because you are looking at something that is not only affordable but also something that does deliver flagship-level performance. And based on the latest leak, the launch of the upcoming device is imminent.

The Galaxy S23 FE will have to be priced very competitively if Samsung plans on making a buck

Now, the Galaxy S23 FE has been a mystery ever since we started hearing about the device. Some rumors have pointed out that it is going to use an Exynos 2200 instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while other rumors have talked about how we could finally see an updated camera system. Nothing has been set in stone now. However, our friends over at Galaxy Club have spotted the battery cell that belongs to the upcoming device.

The battery carries the model number EB-BS711ABY, and if you have been keeping up, this actually matches the model number SM-S711 that we have previously seen, and this phone is said to be the Galaxy S23 FE. Sadly, the battery does not show the capacity or any other information. Still, at least we have some evidence that it exists, and this could also mean that Samsung could end up launching the phone sooner rather than later.

If you are wondering when this phone could come out, well, Samsung has an event planned next month where it is going to be unveiling new tablets, wearables, and foldable phones. However, a rumor that surfaced earlier today talked about how Samsung could have another event planned for August. If that does happen, we might finally see the Galaxy S23 FE making its debut at that event.

Sadly, at the time of writing, the details are scarce, so we are going to wait and see what ends up happening with the Galaxy S23 FE. If the phone does exist, I really hope Samsung does not end up delaying it beyond redemption as it did with the Galaxy S21 FE, which was released in January, and by that time, everyone had lost interest in the Galaxy S21 series as a whole.
