iPhone 16e is facing Bluetooth audio stuttering issue

Apple announced the iPhone 16e almost two weeks ago, and the device has been received pretty well by the tech community. While it is a major upgrade from the iPhone SE 3, the design is reminiscent of the iPhone 14. Apple also introduced its custom C1 modem with the device, which has shown promising results, considering it was the company's first attempt. However, some users are reporting Bluetooth audio stuttering issues on the iPhone 16e when paired with a speaker.

A handful of users report that the iPhone 16e is experiencing a Bluetooth audio stuttering issue

According to a handful of complaints on the Apple Support Community, Reddit, and X, the audio that users are streaming from their iPhone 16e to a Bluetooth speaker cuts out periodically. At this point, it is unclear how widespread the issue is, but based on the number of complaints, it has affected a vast number of users. Some users have also suggested that updating to iOS 18.3.2 does not help fix the issue despite the update being released earlier this week to the public.

Apple is currently testing iOS 18.4, and the update has reached its third beta cycle, but there are no indications that it includes a fix for the Bluetooth issue on the iPhone 16e. iOS 18.4 is expected to be released in April, bringing a boatload of new changes and bug fixes to the table. Apple will potentially add the fix in subsequent beta builds if it has not already done so.

Users report that the issue arises when the iPhone 16e is connected to multiple accessories simultaneously via Bluetooth. We believe that Apple is already aware of the issue, as users have complained directly to Apple, but it is not definite when a fix will be released. Apple is typically very quick to respond to issues and will likely do the same with the iPhone 16e's Bluetooth problem. We will let you know when Apple releases a fix, so be sure to keep an eye out.
