In his review, YouTuber Dave2D mentions that the iPhone 16e features a bigger battery size than any iPhone with a 6.1-inch display. The device is equipped with a 3,961mAh battery, which is significantly bigger than the iPhone 16, which comes with a 3,561mAh battery. It can be seen that the iPhone 16e has a significantly bigger battery capacity than the iPhone 16, and coupled with Apple's optimizations, the device is slated to last you all day without question. However, the battery life test did reveal some interesting insights, as the iPhone 16e lasted longer than last year's iPhone 15 Pro Max, which features an even bigger battery size.
This brings us to the conclusion that the bigger capacity is not the only factor contributing to battery life. Apple says the iPhone 16e offers the longest battery life of any iPhone with a 6.1-inch display, partly due to the C1 modem.
In his review, Lee analyzed the iPhone 16e's battery life with a test that continuously loads the Reddit website over WiFi. He found that the device lasted for 12 hours and 54 minutes. For the exact same test, only the iPhone 16 Pro Max managed to beat the iPhone 16e, with its battery lasting for 13 hours and 41 minutes, slightly less than an hour longer. The regular iPhone 16 lasted for 11 hours and 17 minutes, which is significantly less than that of the 16e.
It is surprising to see how the iPhone 16e managed to beat the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max with its gigantic battery capacity. We believe that the A18 chip and the C1 chip's efficiency, coupled with a bigger cell, are why the iPhone 16e beat even the Pro Max model from last year.
