It is now being reported that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature the best battery life the iPhone has ever received.
iPhone 16 Pro Max could feature the best battery life, all thanks to a bigger cell and low-power-hungry components
The latest news was shared in a Naver blog by "yeux1122" suggesting that the iPhone 16 Pro could feature a massively improved battery life compared to the current and older iPhone models. We have previously covered that the iPhone 15 Plus features the best battery life on any smartphone, according to MKBHD's 2023 smartphone awards. It appears that the company is planning to give the title to its 'Pro' iPhone this year.
It was recently rumored that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature the biggest battery in the iPhone 16 series. All iPhone models are slated to get upgraded battery capacities except the iPhone 16 Plus. Apple could keep the existing battery capacity on the iPhone 16 Plus and offer the iPhone 16 Pro Max with a bigger battery. However, details are not final at this stage, as the final word rests with Apple.
Apple's iPhone 16 Pro models are expected to feature bigger displays than current models. The smaller iPhone 16 Pro is slated to feature a 6.3-inch display, a jump from the 6.1-inch display on the iPhone 15 Pro. To house a bigger display, the devices will feature a bigger and redesigned chassis. With more space available on the inside, Apple appears to be utilizing the space with bigger batteries. However, the iPhone 16 Pro was not part of the prior leak that suggested bigger batteries for the iPhone 16 lineup.
While a bigger capacity is vital for a longer battery life, the user also states in a follow-up post that the iPhone 16 Pro models will also feature upgraded internals for improved power consumption. With these two aspects combined, the iPhone 16 Pro Max could deliver the best battery on any smartphone, similar to the iPhone 15 Plus. The iPhone 16 Pro Max could feature battery life stretching above the 30-hour mark, an up from the iPhone 15 Pro Max's 29-hour mark.
Apart from the battery life, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will also come with upgraded camera sensors and a new Capture Button. The Capture Button will be oriented toward the video-related functionality of the camera. Note that the devices are in their early stage of development and the company could see fit to alter its plans in the future.
