Both iPhone 16 models come with the new A18 Pro chip, and according to Apple, it is 15 percent more powerful than the A17 Pro chip that came before it. The company has achieved a great feat this time around by offering the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max with the same specifications and features. Previously, the smaller 'Pro' model of the iPhone always got left behind in a few features due to its size and form factor. This time, though, the company has kept them at the same level, but there are two major aspects that still leave the smaller model behind.

The iPhone 16 Pro comes with a bigger 6.3-inch display, and the 'Pro Max' comes with a bigger 6.9-inch display, which means that the overall footprints of the devices are slightly bigger than last year. Due to its size, the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro did not receive the 5x telephoto camera last year, which could have been reflected in its sale numbers. The iPhone 15 Pro, on the flip side, was a major upgrade given how the company equipped it with the latest features and hardware.
This time around, Apple has left its strategy in the dust as both models of the iPhone 16 Pro are identical in terms of features, internals, and capability. We previously covered that the iPhone 16 Pro would be just as capable as the 'Pro Max', and the rumors were true to their word, but what aspects does the bigger Pro still excel in?
Well. the bigger size of the iPhone 16 Pro Max allows it to have two aspects that the iPhone 16 Pro does not and can not have. For one, the bigger chassis makes room for a bigger battery cell, which means that the iPhone 16 Pro Max would feature the best battery life on any iPhone, reaching up to 33 hours on a single charge. Secondly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max features a significantly bigger display, which is not something that you should base your purchase on as it all boils down to personal preference.
Both models use an OLED display and the quality is identical to one another. Other than these features, everything else remains the same, including the new 48MP "Fusion" camera with f/1.78 aperture.
