A new iOS app that's powered by a neural network can transform your face on the fly, making you smile, look old, young or even change your gender.

FaceApp is the Future of Facial Transformation - Available for iOS, Coming Soon to Android

We have seen all sorts of weird and wonderful apps for both iOS and Android, but nothing comes close to what FaceApp has to offer on mobile. Maybe the description of the app will make things easier for everyone at first glance.

Transform your face using Artificial Intelligence in just one tap!
- Become more attractive
- Add beautiful smile
- Change gender
- Get younger or older

Believe it or not, but that's exactly what the app does and does it somewhat well. But how? Well, when you snap a photo of yourself to be processed, it first uploads it to the neural network so that it knows exactly what it is dealing with. After that, it applies the necessary changes that are reflected on you face.

Do keep one thing in mind though: it's pretty hit or miss at times given its young age. But over time, as more data is gathered, the neural network gets even more intelligent, only then results will look absolutely striking. Nonetheless, it's worth a try.

Apart from making you look older, younger, giving you a smile, the app can even give a go at giving you a gender makeover. But the problem is, the latter can only be accessed when you opt for the collage mode in the app. It's probably done because the results are not quite convincing on a higher resolution level. Besides, the collage does feature a slightly resolution output. But hey, it's better than nothing, and everyone can have fun with it.

On the pricing front, FaceApp will set you back no money at all. It's absolutely free. But it's available only for iOS, with the Android version currently in alpha, with a release bound to happen some time soon. If you are interested in giving yourself a transformation, then hit the link below.

It's amazing to see how far artificial intelligence has come in terms of photo manipulation. This is something which is bound to improve over time as the neural networks get far superior in doing what they do best.
