iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe beta 7 released to developers ahead of public launch.

Apple has seen fit to release the seventh beta of its upcoming iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26 updates to developers for testing purposes and bug curation. If you are a developer, you can download and install the latest updates on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac right now through the stock Settings app. The latest betas come a week after the sixth beta was seeded to developers, marking a weekly and regular update cycle.

Developers can now install iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26 beta 7 updates ahead of the official rollout

As mentioned, registered developers can now download and install the latest iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 beta 7 on their respective iPhone and iPad models, which are compatible. If you are not familiar with the mechanisms, simply launch the Settings app on your iPhone and head over to General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and follow the on-screen instructions to download the latest build. The process is the same for iPhones and iPads, so you do not have to worry about that. However, before you begin the process, it is vital to note that your Apple ID should be linked to your Developer Account. If not, you will not receive the OTA update on your device.

Apart from iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, Apple has also made the seventh beta of macOS Tahoe 26 available to developers. These are one of the last updates that you will install as the company will release the updates officially to the public next month. To install macOS Tahoe 26 beta 7, all you have to do is head over to the Software Update mechanism in System Settings and then follow the on-screen instructions. As mentioned earlier, you are required to link your Apple ID with your Developer Account to receive the update over the air on your device.

Apple has also released watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 beta 7 to developers, which you can also check out on your compatible devices. Since all of the above-mentioned updates are well ahead in development, it is safe to say that the builds are pretty stable compared to when they were initially made available to developers after the WWDC 2025 event. Regardless, we would recommend users to wait until next year to install the updates. We will share more details on what is new in the latest builds, so be sure to stick around for more.
