Release candidate builds are potentially the last updates available to developers before the company makes the final version available to the general public. If you are a registered developer, you can download and install iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 release candidate build through the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Before you do so, make sure that your Apple ID is connected to your Developer Account in order to receive the update over the air. If the accounts are not interlinked, the updates will not appear in the Settings app.
Once you do that, simply head over to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and download the latest iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 release candidates on your device. Note that the process is the same for iPhones and iPads. iOS 18.3 will be a major update considering the features it will bring to the table, including Apple Intelligence enhancements. The update will possibly bring fixes for under-the-hood bugs that have been causing issues for iPhone users,
Other than iOS 18.3, Apple has also seeded the release candidate version of macOS Sequoia 15.3 to developers. The update can be installed through the Software Update section of the System Settings app. Again, you have to make sure that your Apple ID should be linked to your Developer account to receive the update over the air. macOS Sequoia 15.3 will also bring Apple Intelligence enhancements to the Mac and is a major update that all users should consider installing.
Apart from iOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3, Apple has also seeded the release candidate builds of watchOS 11.3, tvOS 18.3, and visionOS 2.3 to developers, which can be installed through the Settings app after the Developer Account has been linked with the Apple ID. We will keep you posted on what is new in the latest builds, so be sure to stick around.
