After a long time, Intel has finally released another update for the Application Optimization feature. The new update includes over a dozen titles.

Intel Officially Rolls Out APO Update For Intel Raptor Lake Refresh And Arrow Lake CPUs

Intel's quarterly update for the APO (Application Optimization) is here, and as promised, Intel has just added several new titles to the database for better performance. The company today announced its latest update for the APO, adding 15 new titles that should now run better on Intel's latest processors, including the 14th-gen and Arrow Lake CPU families.

Intel says that the feature is now being rolled out to the partners and will be available for the Raptor Lake Refresh and Core Ultra 200 series (both desktop and mobile), but some SKUs will be excluded from support. As far as Arrow Lake is concerned, all the "K" SKUs will be supported, as well as the Core Ultra 200HX family. For 14th-gen processors, Intel included the desktop "K" models, but only two mobile SKUs (Core i9 14900HX and Core i7 14700HX).

Games Added to the APO:

Intel claims that with the latest update, users can gain as much as 14% performance uplifts in games like Metro Exodus: Enhanced Edition, and several games will see a performance boost in single digits. As tested with the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Intel shows a performance increase by 3-14% in various games, and even better 1% lows. If these numbers are true, then users should see smoother gameplay with APO enabled.

Now, in order to enable Intel APO, users will have to install the Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT) from their motherboard's support page on the official vendor website. After installing DTT, APO will be enabled automatically, but by installing Intel APO UI from the Microsoft Store, users will be able to manage specific APO settings for individual games. Once you install the APO, you will get automatic updates whenever Intel adds more games to the APO library.
