Intel has two Arrow Lake CPU lineups for the mobile platform. One is the Arrow Lake-H, also known as the Core Ultra 200H, and the other is the premium Arrow Lake-HX or Core Ultra 200HX, aimed at high-performance gaming and productivity laptops.

We recently saw one of the fastest Core Ultra 200HX CPUs a few days ago, namely the Core Ultra 9 275HX, but today, Geekbench gave us a glimpse of the flagship processor, the "Core Ultra 9 285HX".

It was tested in Geekbench AI, which is different from the Geekbench 6.3 CPU test. Hence, today we didn't get to see the prowess of 285HX in the most important area, but the results page did reveal a few things.

Apart from the scores it obtained on the AI workloads, it showed us its core configuration, which is 8 Performance cores + 16 Efficient cores. This is the same core config as found on the desktop variants i.e., the Core Ultra 9 285K and Core Ultra 9 285. Keep in mind that the Core Ultra 9 285H from the Arrow Lake-H family comes with only 16 cores.

The base clock speed of the Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX "Arrow Lake-HX" CPU as revealed on the page is 2.8 GHz, but the boost clock is unknown. The mentioned boost clock is the P-core base frequency and coincides with the existing leaks we reported a few weeks back. The processor is expected to feature up to 5.5 GHz of P-core boost clock and 2.1/4.6 GHz of E-core base/boost clocks. As per our speculation, the processor should come with 36 MB of L3 cache and will feature Xe-based integrated graphics, boasting 64 EUs and a GPU core clock of 2.0 GHz.

The Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX "Arrow Lake-HX" CPU, in this case, was powering the MSI Raider 18 HX, which is a flagship model by MSI for enthusiast gamers. The current specs of this laptop include the Core i9 HX series CPU, and up to GeForce RTX 4090. While the newer edition didn't reveal what GPU it was running, it is likely going to come up with laptop GPUs like RTX 5090 or RTX 5080.
