Two new Panther Lake CPUs have surfaced online, but we can't yet compare them with their predecessors due to the nature of the tests.
Core Ultra 5 335 and 325 Benchmarked in Geekbench 5.5; 8-Core/8-Thread Processors, 12 MB L3 Cache, and Up to 4.6 GHz Boost Clock
Two more Intel Panther Lake CPUs have appeared on the popular CPU benchmark platform called Geekbench. If you remember, Panther Lake SKUs are divided into three different groups: HX, H, and the regular models without any H/HX/U suffix. These are aimed at power-efficient devices and are expected to operate in the 25W-55W TDP range, which is noticeably higher than the 17W-37W range the Lunar Lake CPUs operate in.
Today's leak showcases the Intel Core Ultra 5 335 and Ultra 5 325 processors, which boast an 8-core/8-thread configuration using the 4 Performance + 4 LP-E core configuration. These SKUs skip the Efficient cores and are technically the direct successors to the Intel Core Ultra 200V processors. As far as the performance goes, both Core Ultra 5 335 and 325 remain almost equivalent in single and multi-core tests, as they hardly have any differences in specifications except for the boost clock.
It should be kept in mind that these were tested on Geekbench 5 and not Geekbench 6, which is why you will see lower scores when compared to their predecessors, which are mostly tested in the latter. So, we cannot compare the scores of these new processors with the older SKUs until we get the Geekbench 6 results. As per multiple result pages, the single-core and multi-core scores remain near 2,000 points and over 9,000 points, respectively.
The pages confirm a boost clock of up to 4.5 GHz for the Ultra 5 325 and up to 4.6 GHz for the 335 SKU. This is exactly what we reported previously. Moreover, it's now confirmed that both the SKUs will bring an L3 cache size of 12 MB, which is 4 MB higher than the Core Ultra 5 228V and 238V. Hopefully, we can see Geekbench 6 scores soon, because we only got to see the Core Ultra 7 365 recently, but it didn't perform as expected.
