It isn't the first time the Core Ultra 3 205 has been listed on a retailer, but it's unknown why the processor hasn't yet made it to the market.
Entry-Level Arrow Lake CPU Gets Listed on German Retailer at 176 Euros, but Isn't in Stock Yet
Most SKUs in the Intel Arrow Lake family have been released and are available in the market. This includes almost all the Core Ultra 5, 7, and 9 series desktop CPUs, but the Core Ultra 3 series remains missing. Core Ultra 3 has been in the plan for a long time, but its availability is rare. In the NA region, we can't find any major retailer that is currently selling it, but in Europe, it seems to enjoy somewhat better availability.
It's not widely available yet, and appears here and there occasionally. However, most of the time it remains out of stock. Today, @x86deadandback spotted the Core Ultra 3 205's listing on a German retailer called Industry Electronics, which has listed the processor for 148 Euros and 176 Euros, including VAT.
This translates to around US$173 and US$206, respectively, which is much higher than the current selling price of the cheapest Ultra 5 series CPU, i.e., the Core Ultra 5 225F, which is selling for around $150-$160. Previously, we saw the processor getting listed on a French retailer for 129 Euros, excluding VAT, which translates to around US$149. It's still high compared to its predecessors, but we will wait for NA listings.
Intel Core Ultra 3 205 is the slowest processor in the lineup, targeting the entry-level and budget segment PC. The processor boasts a clock speed of 3.80 GHz, as spotted in the listing, and has already been confirmed previously by various leaks. The CPU has a 15 MB L3 cache and will boast an 8-core configuration through a 4 P-Core + 4 E-Core combo, achieving up to 4.9 GHz boost clock on the P-core and 4.2 GHz on the E-core.
Price-wise, it shouldn't cost more than $130, since it's the successor of the Core i3 series. $120-$130 price point looks good for the Ultra 3 205, considering it delivers noticeably higher single-core and significantly higher multi-core performance compared to the Core i3 14100. At the moment, the German retailer lets you add it to your cart and likely allows you to pre-order the CPU, but according to the description, it isn't reportedly in stock. So, it may take time to ship.
