In an unexpected move, Intel has significantly reduced the prices of its Arrow Lake CPUs, such as the Core Ultra 7 265K and 265KF.
Intel Core Ultra 7 265K & Core Ultra 7 265KF CPUs See Significant Price Cuts, Now Starting at $284
The Intel Arrow Lake "Core Ultra Series 2" CPU family has been out for a while, and despite initial expectations being very high, the final performance that we got was a bit underwhelming. That's led Intel and its partners to offer various BIOS, Firmware, and OC updates, which have allowed the PC community to get the most out of this platform, and today, Intel is offering the first discount on its latest desktop family.
The discounting spree starts with the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K & the Core Ultra 7 265KF, both of which have a price drop of up to 26% versus their MSRP. The Core Ultra 7 265K will now be listed for $299 (previously $399) while the 265KF will start at $284 (previously $384). This is a huge deal, with the Core Ultra 7 series being one of the crucial segments for desktop builders and PC gamers.
At the time of writing this post, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K & 265KF have already been discounted by major retailers. This brings the pricing on par with the Core Ultra 5 245K & 245KF, which retail at $299 & $284 US, respectively. So, an interesting set of changes by Team Blue and the new updates mean we are likely to see price cuts on the other models too.
Intel has updated its suggested pricing for certain Intel® Core Ultra 200S series desktop processor SKUs – enabling a better-than-ever combination of price and performance for gamers, creators, and professionals alike:

- U7 265K - $299 (previously $399)
- U7 265KF - $284 (previously $384)
