Spotted by MP1st, it seems that a small misstep by an artist at WB Games confirms that Injustice 3 is the next game we'll see from fighting game studio NetherRealm. The next entry in the superhero-charged fighting game is a project that we've seen teased for months now, and this latest mention adds fuel to the Injustice 3 fire.

Last year, a MultiVersus dataminer teased they had found evidence of Injustice 3, and a few months after that, two of the game's voice actors, George Newbern and Phil LaMarr, who provided the voices for Superman and the Green Lantern, respectively, confirmed to a fan meeting them at a convention that they were both working on Injustice 3.

Now, an artist whose identity MP1st chose not to share for confidentiality reasons, left a mention of Injustice 3 in their resume on ArtStation. The resume listed work on several triple-A games, including the Hogwarts Legacy sequel, which we know Warner Bros. is working on. Two more unannounced games, and most importantly, Injustice 3.

Of course, it's worth mentioning that this is just a single mention of Injustice 3 on a resume, and its appearance on an artists resume on its own doesn't mean that it's what we can expect next from NetherRealm.

However, the combination of comments from Newbern and LaMarr, last year's datamined tease, and the resume appearance, along with the fact that we know DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran have talked with both NetherRealm and Rocksteady about making new games set within the DC Universe do strongly suggest we can expect to see Injustice 3 at some point in the future.

Again, it's all a bunch of dot-connecting that could still ultimately lead nowhere, especially considering the major transition Warner Bros. is currently going through with its acquisition by Paramount Skydance. The company's new leadership could ultimately come in and decide it doesn't want to continue investing in certain projects, like Injustice 3, and all of our hopes of seeing NetherRealm return to the beloved series could be crushed in an instant.

That possibility must be front-of-mind until we actually see some official confirmation from Warner Bros and NetherRealm that Injustice 3 is happening. Until then, we can, at best, only be optimistic about our chances of playing a new Injustice game.
