HYTE has unveiled its first AIO liquid cooler, the THICC Q60, featuring a massive IPS display along with "competitive" thermal performance.

HYTE is widely known for its lineup of Y-series cases, such as the Y60 or the Y70, which yet again features a distinctive "abstract design. Expanding on the ideology, the company has showcased its THICC Q60 (interesting name though) all-in-one liquid cooler, which is advertised as a cutting-edge product in terms of cooling performance and noise levels. We will go into the cooling aspect of it in a bit, but let's take a look at the integrated display, which on paper looks quite interesting.
HYTE says that its "ultraslim IPS display" is the biggest in the market, coming with a 5-inch size along with a maximum resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The screen comes in a rather rectangular design, a first of its type, and deviates from the usual circular or even squarish ones. You can get to see more content on the screen with its large size, but then in terms of its width, the screen isn't that impressive. The screen boasts a 60 Hz refresh rate, along with a 300 nits peak brightness. Interestingly, behind the screen comes a "42-pixel qRGB array" designed for illumination and providing more light in your system, which is yet again something distinctive.
Moving on to the cooling element of the THICC Q60, it features "dual harmonic pumps" that circulate liquid around with one of the lowest noise levels in the markets and great thermal efficiency as well. The pump features aerospace-grade ceramic bearings onboard, guaranteeing you a larger life, since the bearings lead to reduced friction amongst the components.
In terms of the onboard fans, the THICC Q60 comes with two 32 mm THICC FP12 fans, with their blades consolidated with LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) to ensure optimal performance and durability. The fans can go up to 3,000 RPM in speed with the option of a zero RPM mode in case of lighter workloads, where your thermals are under control. The fans can be interconnected as well using HYTE's Nexus Link Type-M channel, which is used to magnetically connect nodes directly to one another.
For customization, HYTE's THICC Q60 is controllable through the company's Nexus software which comes with similar features to what we have seen in alternatives in the markets. Now, HYTE has "boasted" about their AIO's thermal performance, and we can't argue about it, since the performance data they have released shows that the THICC Q60 matches the industry competition despite being a relatively new release.
The THICC Q60 delivers ginormous thermal performance and obscene amounts of digital innovation. This 240 will destroy any 360 AIO from our competition.
- Rob Teller, Product Director of HYTE
In terms of pricing, the THICC Q60 is available for a starting MSRP of $299.99 in Canada and the United States, and global availability is expected by Q1 2024. In terms of market competition, the AIO is priced slightly higher than the ASUS ROG Ryujin III 240mm, but if you compare its performance with a 360mm version of it, well that is another debate.
