Amazon has listed the HP Victus 16 with an RTX 4070 for just $1,049

At $1,049, you are lucky enough to get a hold of RTX 4060 gaming laptops on Amazon, but an RTX 4070 one? It is next to impossible. Then again, the online retailer has a habit of pulling off miracles, as it has with the HP Victus 16, which is available for an incredibly low price. There are multiple RAM and storage configurations present, so if you want to future-proof this portable powerhouse and do not want to go through the process of upgrading the components yourself, those options are available too.

The HP Victus 16’s RTX 4070 is paired with an 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, along with 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 SSD. Buyers also get a single HDMI cable in the packaging, assuming they want to extend their existing workspace by hooking up their gaming laptop to an external monitor. The display running on the Victus 16 is a 1080p IPS LCD that supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate. Given that the mobile RTX 4070 features 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and with games becoming more video memory intensive, HP chose the correct resolution for this model based on its specifications.

Since the Victus 16 features an AMD CPU, you can pretty much forget about seeing Thunderbolt 4 as part of the I/O, but what you can get is better battery life from the machine. Other than that, this is the lowest price that we have seen on Amazon for an RTX 4070 laptop. Sure, the Victus 16 might not flaunt the best build quality out there, but if you take excellent care of it, the gaming laptop can last you for several years.
