The PC version of PRAGMATA delivers very solid performance and excellent visuals, as outlined in our review and detailed performance analysis. However, there are still a few things that advanced users may want to tweak.

How to Tweak FoV in PRAGMATA

For instance, the game only has three Camera Distance options: Near, Standard, and Far. Those who would like to tweak the Field of View (FoV) even further must download the latest nightly release of Praydog's REFramework, which unlocks new settings in games powered by the RE Engine like PRAGMATA. Optimize Your HDR Experience in PRAGMATA

If you're running the game on an HDR-compatible display, modder Musa has released a RenoDX mod to improve the game's default HDR experience.

According to Musa, the PRAGMATA 'HDR - Color Grade' mod features corrected tonemapping and brightness, as the broken LUT is replaced with proper ACES code, featuring adjustable "Mid Gray" targets to match developer intent and allowing for peak brightness beyond the game's default limit. The brightness slider is also moved to apply after tonemapping to keep colors and contrast stable.

The mod also offers sRGB to 2.2 gamma emulation, but defaults to lowering the ACES minimum nits to better preserve shadow detail. Furthermore, the ACES tonemapper now processes by luminance rather than per channel, which cleans up smeared shadows and eliminates segmentation errors.

The missing SDR tonemapper is restored to the HDR mode (as an option) with an uncapped peak, preserving the intended exposure and contrast without limiting peak brightness.

How to Install the RenoDX HDR Mod:

  1. Ensure you have the REFramework build installed (which you will already have if you followed the FoV steps above).
  2. Install ReShade 6.7.3 with full add-on support.
  3. Copy the renodx-pragmata.addon64 file into your PRAGMATA installation folder, right next to the game's .exe file.
  4. Run the game, then press the Home button to open the ReShade UI.
  5. Navigate to the Add-ons tab, disable Generic Depth and Effect Runtime Sync, then restart the game.
  6. Launch PRAGMATA again, open the ReShade UI, and navigate to the newly added RenoDX tab.

You now have complete interactive control over settings such as Tone Map Types, ACES Mid Gray values, Peak/Game Brightness, UI visibility, Color Grading (exposure, contrast, saturation, flare, etc.), and custom film grain effects.
