If you have been wondering how to prevent that from happening and want to untag yourself from spam on Instagram, this guide is for you since we will focus on just that.

Step 1: Open Instagram and head to the section with tagged images or videos.

Step 2: Once you are there, open any image or video from which you want to remove the tag.

Step 3: Click on the three-dot menu on the top right and select Tag options.

Step 4: Now choose the option to remove the tag, and you are good to go.

If you want to take things even further, you can go ahead and make some changes to your Instagram settings that will prevent people from tagging you in the posts. This is convenient for everyone who doesn't like getting tagged in posts that are from unknown accounts, or any account, for that matter. Let's look at how to do it below:

Step 1: Open your Instagram and go to Settings

Step 2: Once you are in Settings, look for Tags and mentions.

Step 3: Once you are there, you will have the ability to choose people who can tag you and people who cannot. This is convenient for a lot of people who often get tagged.

Once you are done making these changes, you will have a much easier time on Instagram dealing with spammers or anyone who loves to tag you in all the random posts they can think of. I do understand that it can be confusing for people at first, but once you have made the changes you want, it will be a lot easier for you in every way. Using this guide, you will be able to untag yourself from spam on Instagram without too much hassle.
