If you are looking for traditional fast travel icons on the main map in Crimson Desert, you won’t find any. Unlike most open-world titles where you can simply visit a town to unlock a waypoint, the game binds its fast travel system to elements of the Abyss, namely the Abyss Nexuses and Abyss Cressets which often guards certain secrets.

Finding Abyss Nexuses and Abyss Cressets
The most important thing to know is that Abyss Nexuses and Abyss Cressets are not marked on your map by default, and you are unlikely to stumble upon them as you explore Pywel. To find them, you will need to use one of Kliff's core abilities: Blinding Flash.
To discover any element related to the Abyss, including the Abyss Artifacts need to unlock new skills, you have to:
- Use Blinding Flash by holding the R1 and R2 buttons (PlayStation) or RB and LB (Xbox)
- If anything related to the Abyss is nearby, you will see a trail of light, indicating its location.
- Follow this light trail to its source to find either an Abyss Nexus, Abyss Cresset or Abyss Artifact. For the first, just stand on it for a few seconds to unlock a fast travel point; for the second, interact with it to enter the dungeon.
NOTE: If your Blinding Flash doesn't reveal a light trail, you are likely too far from an element of the Abyss, or it is simply hidden behind the environment. Try moving to higher ground for better visibility.
How to Use Fast Travel
Once you have unlocked an Abyss Nexus or an Abyss Cresset , all you need to do to fast travel to their location is hover over them on the main map and press the Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox) buttons.
