Gone are the days when sharing a Wi-Fi password was a tedious task. Modern-day devices and smartphones have made it infinitely easier for us to share passwords without asking people or checking under the router. If you have a Wi-Fi password that you have not changed and you are struggling to find a way to share it on Android devices, then we are going to help you get the process started. The best thing is that it works for almost all the devices you might be considering.
Now, if you are trying to figure out how to share Wi-Fi password on Android devices, you have to be sure that at least one of your devices is already connected to the existing network. If not yours, then someone should have a device on that network because we are going to need that to make this work. It is not complicated. The settings for almost all the phones are the same except for some minor differences.
Easily share Wi-Fi password on Android devices and connect all your devices seamlessly
The tutorial was written using the OnePlus 11, so your experience on a non-OnePlus device might be different. Regardless of that, we are going to make sure it is as simple as it possibly could be for you to understand.
Step 1: On your Android device, go to Settings and choose Wi-Fi.
Step 2: Once you are there, tap on the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to.
Step 3: The next step is to find the share button and tap that. On OnePlus 11 it is right there, but it could be hidden under the three-dot menu on a different device.
Step 4: When you do that, a QR code will pop up. If you are using another smartphone, you can just use the QR code to scan the password. If not, then the password should be right under the QR code. Alternatively, you can use Nearby Share or Quick Share to send the password to a device you are trying to connect.
That is it, folks. You will now be able to share your Wi-Fi without any issues that might come in the way. Remember, different devices from different manufacturers might have the settings hidden in different locations, but overall, the process remains the same. Alternatively, you can just scan a QR code and stick it somewhere so you can have an easier time connecting to the Wi-Fi.
