For the most part, Google Assistant is one of the most useful tools on Android. Of all the virtual assistants that we have access to on this side of operating systems, Google Assistant is perhaps the best there is. While I have made a habit of using it every day, I do know a lot of people who prefer not having any virtual assistant because they believe having a smartphone without an assistant is much better. Therefore, if you want to disable Google Assistant, then this post is for you, as we are going to teach you how to do so.

Considering how Google Assistant is not tied to a specific OEM version of Android, this method applies to all Android phones. Using this method, you can simply disable Google Assistant on all Android phones if you do not want the feature to be up and running.

Disable Google Assistant on all Android phones in a few simple steps

Disabling this feature should not be a difficult process for anyone. However, the access to the settings has a lot of other menus there as well, and that is why it becomes difficult when someone tries to disable Google Assistant. Well, don't worry, as we are going to guide you on how you can do it.

Step 1: On your Android phone, open the Google app.

Step 2: Once you are in the app, tap your Profile picture on the top right corner.

Step 3: From there, you should select Settings.

Step 4: You will now be brought to a new menu where you have to choose Google Assistant.

Step 5: The next page is going to show you a plethora of settings, such as Popular Settings and All Settings

Step 6: Scroll down to All Settings, look for General Settings, and tap that.

Step 7: Simply turn off the Google Assistant toggle. You will be asked if you want to turn it off. Just accept the prompt, and you are good to go.

That's it, following this simple guide, you have successfully managed to disable Google Assistant on your phone. You will not be notified by it anymore, and it simply will not function until you turn it back on. If you want to turn it back on, simply follow the same steps, and you are good.
