Set And Lock Maximum Volume Limit On iOS
The steps are fairly simple and it only requires the iOS device, whether it be an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Follow the steps provided below carefully and set a limit to your maximum volume.
- Navigate to the stock Settings app on your iOS device.
- Scroll down to the Music tab and select Volume Limit.
- In the Volume Limit screen, you will see a slider, adjust the maximum volume, according to your preference or what you feel is right.
This is it to set the maximum volume limit on your iOS device. The limit will only be applied to audio output when the headphones have been plugged in. The audio from the device's speakers would not be affected. However, your kids would probably want to tune up the music without your consent. This would get us nowhere. - Navigate to the stock Settings app, again.
- Scroll down to General and select Restrictions. If this is the first time that you're using restrictions, you will have to create a unique passcode.
- Scroll down to Volume Limit, once you have created the passcode and entered it in the Restriction preferences.
- Now, select Don't Allow Changes.
This is it. You have locked the maximum volume limit to your desired place. Now, the volume slider will be locked in place if someone attempts to change it.
